The original golf course at Adare Manor was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and opened in 1995. Following the purchase and redevelopment of the estate by J.P. McManus , renowned American architect Tom Fazio completely rebuilt the course during 2016 and 2017, with every hole redesigned to create a modern championship layout.
Unlike the majority of Ireland’s famous coastal courses, Adare Manor is a parkland layout with large bunkers, wide fairways, water hazards and heavily contoured greens. Measuring 7,509 yards from the tips, this championship course possesses no traditional rough; instead wayward shots are punished by contoured slopes, strategic bunkering and trees.
Adare Manor is currently ranked 8th in Ireland by Irish Golfer and has hosted the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008 alongside the 2008 JP McManus Pro-Am. The course will host the Ryder Cup in 2027, marking the centenary of the competition.
