Ballyliffin- Glashedy Course

As visitor numbers increased at Ballyliffin, the club decided to build a second championship course during the early 1990s. Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock were appointed to design the new layout, with construction beginning in 1993 and the Glashedy Links officially opening in August 1995.

The Glashedy Links is the longer and more dramatic of Ballyliffin’s two championship courses, running through towering dunes with views towards Glashedy Rock and Pollan Bay. Wide rolling fairways are heavily protected by deep bunkers, while elevated tees and greens create major changes in height throughout the round.

The course has been the venue to many renowned amature competitions including the likes of R&A Boys' Home Internationals, The Amateur Championship and the Ladies Irish Open. Top 100 Courses currently ranks the Glashedy Course 64th in Great Britain and Ireland.
