Blairgowrie Golf Club

First founded in 1889 as a 9 hole course, Alister MacKenzie (architect of Augusta National) was later appointed to design a new eighteen-hole layout, with his course opening in 1927. James Braid then made further changes during the 1930s, adding several new holes forming the layout we see today.

Rosemount is a beautiful inland course set amongst mature pine, silver birch and large areas of heather. The par 72 layout features beautifully shaped fairways and strategic bunkering while the tree-lined setting places a considerable premium on accuracy. Although not excessively long, missing the fairways can quickly lead to difficult recovery shots from heather or woodland.

Ranking 40th in Scotland's top 100 courses the Rosemont course has hosted numerous Scottish amateur championships. However its most famous professional moment came in 1977 when Greg Norman recorded his first European Tour victory in the Martini International.
