Cabot Highlands- Old Petty Course

Old Petty is the second championship course to be implemented at the prestigious Cabot Highlands. The course was opened for play in 2026 and designed by Tom Doak and Clyde Johnson. The Old Petty Course flows round the breathtaking 400 year old Castle Stuart.

The par 71 course stretches to 7,080 yards and has a more inland character than neighbouring Castle Stuart. Rolling fairways, natural hazards, large contoured greens and challenging approach shots provide much of the challenge, while several holes run by the stunning Moray Firth. The opening and closing holes even cross each other, giving the routing a distinctive old-fashioned feel.

As one of Scotland’s newest championship courses, Old Petty has little tournament history so far, but it has already received significant attention for its design and setting. Top 100 Courses have placed the new course within the top 20 courses in Scotland
