Craigelaw (European Tour Venue)

Craigelaw

Craigielaw is relatively new  compared to the other courses in the south East of Scotland opening in 2001. The course was designed by Donald Steel & Co. and was created to reflect many of the traditional links characteristics that the world renowned golf courses possessed in the south east part of Scotland.

Measuring 6,601 yards from the white tees, the par 71 course features firm fairways, deep vast bunkers and large challenging greens. Although the land is less dominated by large dunes than many traditional links courses, its exposed position, strong winds and difficult green complexes provide a demanding modern championship test.

In its short history Craiglew has hosted numerous prestigious competitions including the Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship and the Scottish Senior Open in 2018 and 2019. It has quickly built up its reputation as it is currently ranked 67th in Scotland by Top 100 Golf Courses.
