Dooks Golf Links

Dooks Golf Club was founded in 1889 when members of the Royal Horse Artillery laid out a nine-hole course beside Dingle Bay, making it one of the ten oldest golf clubs in Ireland. The course briefly reached eighteen holes in 1900 before returning to nine due to maintenance costs, with the modern second nine eventually completed by club members in 1970. Martin Hawtree carried out a major redesign between 2003 and 2006.

The par 71 course measures around 6,500 yards and provides a traditional links challenge with narrow sandy fairways, natural dunes and fast contoured greens. It is slightly more sheltered than many Irish links courses, although coastal winds, gorse and uneven terrain ensure accuracy remains essential throughout the round.

Dooks Golf Club is recognised to be one of the scenic links layout that the country has to offer ranking 23rd in Ireland by Top 100 Courses.
