East Sussex National Golf Club

The course was conceived by Canadian entreprenuer Brian Turner in the mid 1980s. Designed by world respected American architect Bob Cupp, who was regularly commissioned by Jack Nicklaus, East Sussex opened in 1990.

There are two courses, East and West. Both are an American style design, built to strict USGA specifications for superior drainage and putting surfaces. The West Course is more intimate, playing through ancient oak trees and gentle streams. The East Course is laid out in an American stadium style with huge mounds as it makes it's way through the Sussex Downs.

Both courses are a great challenge for all handicaps. The East Course has hosted the European Open on two occasions.
