Enniscrone Golf Club

The Ernniscrone Golf Club was founded in 1918 by a group of local golfers and extended to a 18 hole layout by 1930. The course was significantly expanded and redesigned under renowned Irish architect Eddie Hackett during the 1970s. Donald Steel later added more holes through the largest dunes, helping create the modern Dunes Course played today.

The par 73 course stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the championship tees and winds through huge natural dunes beside Killala Bay. Narrow fairways, blind approaches and dramatic elevation changes create a demanding challenge, while the exposed Atlantic setting means strong winds can punish inaccurate shots.

The Enniscrone golf club have previously hosted the Irish Close Championship, European Championship and the Irish Women's Close Championship. The course is currently ranked 16th in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
