Narin & Portnoo

Narin and Portnoo was established in 1930 by a group of local residents with a 9 hole course in the dune filled land. The course was later extended to a 18 hole layout in 1965 followed by the clubhouse being rebuilt and open for members in 2008. After new ownership took over, architects Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner were brought in during 2018 and carried out an extensive redesign and restoration which significantly changed the routing, greens and bunkering.

The stunning links course features an untouched, wild, and rugged look with twisting fairways, raised greens, tight doglegs. Measuring close to 6900 yards from the tips the course at Narin and Portnoo winds through towering dunes and dramatic coastal elevation leaving the courses exposed to strong coastal winds.

Although it has not hosted many major international championships, the course has a strong reputation across the country and the uk ranking 19th in Ireland by top 100 Courses.
