Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club (Ryder Cup Venue)

Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club, established in 1906, saw James Braid make a substantial redesign in 1924 making the course a desirable host for many prestigious competitions. It possesses a rich history with the famous Jack Nicklaus playing his first overseas professional tournament at the club in 1962.

The course features some of the best coastal dunes and is renowned for its well-maintained fairways, fast greens, and strategically placed bunkers. As a true championship course, Southport and Ainsdale provide a challenging test, especially with the fresh breeze coming from the Irish Sea.
