Tralee Golf Club

Tralee Golf Club was founded in 1896 and originally played on a nine-hole course before moving between several locations during its early history. The club purchased land at Barrow in 1980 and commissioned Arnold Palmer to design a completely new course, which officially opened for play in 1984.

The course is a par 72 links set along the rugged Kerry coastline, with the front nine playing across more open terrain before the back nine moves through dramatic dunes and clifftop ground. Deep bunkers, elevated greens and strong Atlantic winds provide a challenge that even the most experienced golfers will find enjoyable testing.

Currently ranked 15th in Ireland and Northern Ireland Tralee Golf club have a history of hosting major amateur competitions such as the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup.
