Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg

The idea of creating a golf course at Doonbeg was revived during the 1990s, with construction beginning in 1999 after land was secured along Doughmore Bay, Greg Norman designed the original course which officially opened in 2002. The resort was purchased by the Trump Organization in 2014 before Martin Hawtree carried out an extensive redesign completed in 2016

This par-72 course features a unique design with five par 5s and five par 3s, measuring just over 7,000 yards from the black tees. With towering dunes, challenging rough, and immaculate greens, the golfing experience at Trump International Golf Links is truly exceptional. Sixteen of the eighteen holes provide views of the Atlantic.

The course recently held the Amgen Irish Open which was the first major competition at Doonberg golf Links, Shane Lowry won with a record breaking 11- shot victory with US president Donald Trump watching in the stands.
