After arriving at Dublin Airport, our warm, welcoming driver will be ready to greet you and take you on your very short journey to the fabulous hotel. Take your time to settle into your room and if you are not feeling too tired from your travels, then head into Dublin and explore the fabulous Capital city of Ireland.
Your Golfing adventure begins with a hidden gem to the rest of the world, but highly regarded as a stunning links course ranked 8th in the country. In 1890, ten founding members established the course on isolated linksland that for the first 83 years was only accessible by boat. The course sits amongst some of the largest natural dunes on the east coast of Ireland and is surrounded by water on three sides of the course. Narrow fairways, deep bunkers, large dunes and firm greens provide a challenging traditional links experience, while several holes wind through narrow valleys. Once finishing your round on the stunning natural masterpiece of Island Golf Club, head to the clubhouse for a refreshment as you look back on the breathtaking round of golf, while anticipating the top-class courses that you still are yet to conquer.
The second round of golf takes you to County Louth Golf Club, where a classic Irish links experience awaits to be taken on by you and your peers. The par 72 course stretches to 7,031 yards from the back tees and combines rolling dunes, firm fairways and strategically positioned bunkers. Wayward shots are punished by deep pot bunkers with raised lips, and thick, punishing rough. The course boasts stunning sea views of the Irish Sea and Mountains of Mourne, making the course a truly breathtaking experience. After walking off the 18th green, take a moment to appreciate the experience you have just had and the spectacular coastal views that make County Louth such a memorable links course. Make your way into the clubhouse overlooking the course and Boyne Estuary, where you can enjoy a well-earned meal or drink while reflecting on another special round of golf.
All four courses you get to play on this package are a thrilling experience, but the world-renowned Portmarnock Golf Club is a new level of links golf you will not be prepared for. Ranked in the top 75 courses worldwide, this stunning layout across the east coast will provide memories of a lifetime. As a pure natural links course, Portmarnock's exposed coastal setting creates a demanding test, with changing sea winds placing a premium on accuracy, shot shaping and course management. Its unique routing sends holes in several different directions, meaning golfers are constantly asked to adapt to new wind conditions throughout the round. Tiger Woods once described Portmarnock as “one of the most enjoyable links courses I have had the opportunity to play,” perfectly capturing the quality and character of the experience that awaits you.
Your final round takes you to the historic Royal Dublin Golf Club, founded in 1885 and granted its Royal title in 1891. The par 72 course measures 7,269 yards and provides a traditional links challenge across the relatively flat terrain of Bull Island. Deep bunkers, firm fairways, exposed greens and strong winds from Dublin Bay provide the main defence, while the final three holes create one of the strongest finishing few holes of any course across the country. As your final round comes to an end, take time to appreciate the history, coastal setting and classic links character that make Royal Dublin such a special place to play.
After one final morning in Ireland, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and meeting your driver for the journey to the airport. With four outstanding rounds now behind you, this is the perfect time to look back on the variety of links golf, coastal scenery and memorable moments that have shaped the trip. You will leave with more than just a completed scorecard, but with a lifetime of memories and experiences that we hope will inspire you to return again in the future.
