Your trip begins as you arrive at one of London's three major airports — Gatwick, Heathrow or Stansted — where one of our drivers will be waiting to welcome you. From there, you'll be transferred directly to your hotel, giving you a relaxed and hassle-free start to your golf break. Once you've checked in, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and explore.
Princess Golf Club beautifully blends modern style with historic character, featuring 27 holes of top-notch championship links golf. Consistently ranked among the Top 100 in Great Britain, the course now has 3 distinct nines, all of which start and end at the clubhouse, offering a mix of classic and modern links golf challenges. Princess Golf Club is renowned not only for its stunning golf but also for its breathtaking views of Sandwich Bay and Royal St. George's, while also offering fine dining at the highly regarded 1932 Grill.
On day 3, you will travel to Deal, where the famous Deal Castle was constructed by order of Henry VIII in 1539. Royal Cinque Ports is an exceptionally tough links course, particularly the back nine, where the final seven holes heavily punish inaccurate shots. Often played directly into the strong coastal wind, the course has a classic out-and-back routing, very similar to the old course at St Andrews, but much narrower and more punishing. Following an exceptional round of golf, the inviting clubhouse provides a perfect setting to relax and unwind, complete with two fully stocked bars, two lounges, and a sophisticated dining area.
Today you get the opportunity to experience the number one ranked course in England, the world-famous Royal St Georges. The first English course to host the Open Championship is known for its unique, circular layout and natural beauty. Overlooking Pegwell Bay, the course has memorable features like thatched shelters, flags bearing St George's cross, and the UK's tallest bunker on the 4th hole. Royal St George's has hosted The Open on 15 occasions, most recently in 2021. After an unforgettable round on one of golf's most iconic links, relax in the clubhouse and enjoy a well-earned meal while reflecting on a truly special day of golf.
Today you will leave the South East behind and travel north to the next stage of your golfing journey. Once you arrive in the North West, settle into your accommodation and enjoy the remainder of the day as you please.
Today is yours to explore the vibrant city of Liverpool and discover its famous culture and history. Music fans can follow in the footsteps of The Beatles, visiting iconic locations connected to the band and learning more about their rise from Liverpool to worldwide fame. Ensure to relax and recharge throughout the day as you have more links masterpieces to face in the coming days.
For your first round of golf, you will be stepping onto a linksland with an extensive history of hosting the best competitions in the world with the best players in the world. Royal Lytham St Annes is one of the best links courses you will experience. The course has hosted eleven Open Championships, two Ryder Cups, and numerous other major tournaments. Royal Lytham St Annes is renowned for its difficult layout being regarded as one of the most challenging on the Open Championship rota. Its sand hills and pot bunkers present significant hazards, and the firm, fast greens add to the course's notorious difficulty. Once you have conquered this famous championship course, make your way into the clubhouse to enjoy a well-earned meal and drink, surrounded by the history and tradition of one of Britain's prestigious golfing venues.
Royal Liverpool Golf Club is a beautiful and historic links course that holds an important place in English golfing heritage, as it's the second oldest links course in England. First established in 1869 as a 9-hole course, it shared the links land with a horse race track, with the 1st and 18th holes named “course” and “stand” in honour of the racing history. Measuring at 7350 yards from the tips, the Royal Liverpool Golf Club is widely recognised as a stunning links golf course, but constant winds and deep summer rough create a substantial challenge. Royal Liverpool Golf Club has hosted the Open Championship 13 times, with Tiger Woods winning in 2006 and Rory McIlroy in 2014. After completing your round and walking in the footsteps of some of the greatest golfers ever to live, head to the clubhouse bar and enjoy a well-earned refreshment.
Today you will face the formidable challenge of Royal Birkdale. After playing at Royal Liverpool and Royal Lytham & St Anne's, you should feel ready to conquer one of the hardest courses on the Championship rota. Royal Birkdale has ranked amongst the top 10 courses in England for almost two decades and has hosted two Ryder Cups and eleven Open Championships. Deep pot bunkers, difficult greens and thick rough punish inaccurate shots, making good course management essential throughout the round. The constant presence of wind adds to the challenge, meaning that measuring over 7,100 yards from the tips, the course can feel a lot longer. As you step away from the 18th green, take a moment to savour the achievement of completing one of England's most prestigious and demanding golfing tests.
Your Final Golfing adventure takes you to the breathtaking coastal setting of Formby Golf Club. Formby Golf Club first opened in 1884, with Harry Colt and James Braid later making significant changes and extensions in the 1930s. Formby offers a unique blend of classic links golf and inland heathland character, with towering sand dunes, beautifully protected greens and sweeping views towards the Irish Sea. The course is as memorable as it is demanding, with strategic doglegs, partially hidden approaches and fast-running greens providing a rewarding test for golfers of all abilities. Once you have completed your final round, make your way into the clubhouse to enjoy a well-earned meal and drink while taking in everything you have experienced over an unforgettable week of golf in North West England. It provides the perfect setting to reflect on the world-class courses, spectacular scenery and memorable moments that have made your trip so special.
With your time coming to an end in the South East and North West of England, enjoy one last breakfast at the hotel. After collecting you from the hotel, our driver will provide a smooth, short journey back to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, where we will say goodbye. While departing Liverpool, we hope you cherish the outstanding golfing experience that you have had, conquering the best links courses the country has to offer.
